my mother’s day at the farm

by Michelle

It was a quiet day.

A day of talking about life with my daughter Sara.

We tried to pick fiddleheads but found we were a week late.

Old time farmers have a lovely saying. ‘When bilberry blossoms are as big as a mouse’s ear, it’s planting time.

Sara and I roamed all over the farm.

It’s time to plant.

Thanks for reading.
